Balipatna: A Special Squad of the Commissionerate Police on Friday arrested a youth, who had allegedly snatched Rs 5 lakh from a woman at Pahala, on outskirts of Bhubaneswar, on September 8.
According to police sources, Rs 3.10 lakh was recovered from the accused, who is a native of Aska area in Ganjam district.
He had snatched the cash bag from one Sunita Jena while she was standing in front of an IOB branch after withdrawing the money. The victim had later lodged a complaint with police.
