Kamakhyanagar: A youth was arrested Sunday on for allegedly killing a
newborn girl at Kamakhyanagar in Dhenkanal district.
The accused was identified as Silu Swain.
According to information, Silu was in a relationship with a girl for
some years and later established physical relationship with her.
However, Silu started torturing the girl after she gave birth to a
baby on December 6. When the girl forced him repeatedly to marry her,
Silu killed the child.
Following the incident, the girl’s family members lodged a police
complaint against the accused.
Basing on the complaint, police started investigation into the case
and managed to nab the accused.
