Youth attacked over past rivalry in Khurda

Khurda: A youth was grievously injured after being attacked by a group of miscreants near Rameswar playground at Nirakarpur in Khurda district on Friday.

Police identified the victim as Papu Fateh Singh (28), son of Narayan Fateh Singh of Baliapal village under Jankia police limits in the district.

According to reports, the assailants slit Papu’s throat. He was rescued by some locals and admitted to a private nursing home. His condition is stated to be critical.

Police attributed the incident to past rivalry.
