Balangir: In a cold-blooded act, a youth allegedly axed his uncle to
death at Dandara village under Bangomunda police limits in Balangir
district late on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Padhi.
According to police sources, a heated argument erupted between the
Ramesh and the accused Aswini Padhi over some kind of family feud.
Following the verbal duel, the accused took out an axe and hacked his
uncle to death.
Later, Aswini was arrested by police.
In another incident, a youth identified as Bibek Rout was stabbed to
death by a person over a petty issue at Murunia village under Balikuda
police station limits in Jagatsinghpur district.
The accused, Babu Khuntia, is absconding.
