Nabarangpur: A young boy allegedly committed suicide after he tested positive for COVID-19 in Badmasi village of the district.
According to sources, 20-year-old Narendra Bisoi along with his friends had undergone COVID-19 test at Community Health Centre, Sanmasinga, here. After Narendra test report confirmed him to be positive, he was asked to remain in home isolation.
He he returned home in the evening and later, drank pesticides kept in the house. His family rushed him to Nabarangpur District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) where the attending doctors declared him dead.
Police sent the body for autopsy and Narendra’s family members cremated it.
An unnatural death case has been registered at Kadinga police station.
