Bhubaneswar: A youth was critically injured reportedly in an armed attack by some miscreants in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
Police sources said the victim, Sahil of Salia Sahi under Nayapalli police station in the city, had previous enmity with the assailants. In the afternoon, the miscreants came in search of Sahil but did not find him and returned.
At around 5 pm, they spotted Sahil near GIT College under Maitri Vihar police limits. As soon as Sahil saw them, he started running. But the miscreants gave a chase and caught hold of him. They attacked Sahil with sword and other weapons and fled before the locals people could gather.
The locals rushed Sahil to Capital Hospital in a critical condition. Police have registered a case and started a manhunt to trace the miscreants, the sources said.
