Khamar: In a tragic incident, a youth was crushed to death while
taking a selfie with an elephant at Nuapada under Khamar forest range in
Angul district on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Jayakrushna Nayak, a native of
Nimidibeda village in the district.
According to available information, Nayak sneaked into the forest area
to take selfies with the wild animal. When he started clicking selfies
in front of the elephant, it attacked and trampled him to death.
Jayakrushna was rescued by some locals and rushed to Khamar Community
Health Centre (CHC) where he died while undergoing treatment.
