Youth Detained For Attack On Newly-Elected Odisha MLA In Cuttack

Cuttack: A youth has been detained on charges of attacking the car of newly-elected Cuttack Sadar MLA Prakash Sethi on Sunday night.

The incident took place at Sompur Chhak in Cuttack when the MLA was returning after attending a Raja Mahotsav programme in Kishorenagar area. “A local youth aggressively moved towards the car when we were returning from Kishorenagar. As we slowed down, he attacked the vehicle,” said the MLA.

Sethi later lodged a complaint with police, which detained the youth for questioning.

The legislator added that the incident could be politically motivated.
