Sonepur: A youth died as he slipped and came under a train at a railway station in Odisha’s Subarnapur district on Monday.
According to sources, the youth, identified as Anil Kumbhar of Agalpur village under Dunguripalli police station in the district, had gone to see off his mother and sister at Dunguripalli station. Anil’s mother and sister had to catch Ispat Express to go to Rourkela.
On arrival of the train, they had to hurry to board it as its stoppage time was only three minutes. Besides there was heavy rush of passengers for the train as the summer vacation and holidays for Raja festival had come to an end.
