Bargarh: A youth died while carrying out electrical repairing work at
Barikel village under Padmapur police limits in Bargarh district on
Friday.
The deceased electrical employee has been identified as Biranchi Sahu,
a resident of Charapalli village in the district.
According to available information, Sahu got electrocuted after coming
in contact with an 11-KV power line while conducting maintenance work
of a transformer.
Following the mishap, a group of villagers gathered near the body of
the deceased and demanded adequate compensation for the victim’s
family.
Being informed about the incident, local electrical sub-station
officials rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation.
