Youth Drowns After Holi Revelry In Cuttack

Cuttack: Holi celebration turned tragic for a youth after he drowned in Mahanadi river near Banki-Kalikaprasad ghat in Cuttack district on Friday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Raja Swain, a resident of Kushapangi village in the district.

Swain had gone to the water body to take bath after playing Holi along with two of his friends. He slipped into the deep waters and drowned.

The victim’s friends alerted locals and fire personnel, who later fished out the body from the river.
