Jharsuguda: A youth drowned while bathing in the Kadelapita Pipilimala canal under Belapahar block of Jharsuguda district on Saturday.
Sources said that Mohammad Rashid, 23, was visiting his relative’s place in Sriramnagar and slipped and drowned in the deeper part of the canal while bathing.
On being informed, the police reached the spot and seized the body for post-mortem. A case of unnatural death has been registered.
