Puri: Ahead of Rath Yatra in Odisha’s Puri, a CCTV installation staff was electrocuted while installating cameras on Grand Road on Thursday.
The deceased as been identified as Rakesh Behera, a resident of Rajabagicha in Cuttack.
According to sources, the 25-year-old came in contact with a live wire while connecting the CCTV with the integrated control room. He immediately fell to the ground and was rushed to district headquarters hospital, where the doctors declared him ‘brought dead’.
Rakesh was engaged by a contractor who was awarded the job by the Police Housing Corporation, sources added.
