Rayagad: A youth died of electrocution while two of his friends were critically injured as they engaged in a selfie session on goods train at Bhalumaska railway station under Kalyansighpur police limits in Odisha’s Rayagada district on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Debendra Nayak of Bartibali village under Kashipur block.
According to sources, Debendra and his friends were in Bhalumaska to attend a wedding. He died on the spot after coming in contact with the 25 KV live wires.
On being informed, the Railway Police recovered the body and got the two critically-injured youths admitted to a hospital.
A probe into the incident is underway.
