Youth Found Dead In Bhubaneswar, Murder Suspected

Bhubaneswar: A youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a house at Buddha Nagar here on Thursday.

He was identified as Baijayant Mohanty.

Some neighbours spotted the body lying on the floor of the house and immediately reported the matter to the police.

A team of officials from Laxmi Sagar police station along with forensic experts inspected the crime scene.

A woman, believed to be Mohanty’s girlfriend, and another man have been detained by police for questioning in connection with the incident.

The body was later sent for post-mortem to ascertain the actual reason behind the death.

“It would not be prudent to say anything regarding the incident at this stage as the post-mortem report is awaited”, a police officer said.

Locals suspect foul play in Mohanty’s death as there were strangulation marks on his neck.
