Bhubaneswar: A young man was found dead inside Gurudwara Singh Sabha in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Subash Nayak.
Subhas was working as an office boy at the Gurudwara for the past six months. He was a resident of Section-III, Harijan Basti of Kanjia Huda area here.
According to reports, a security guard spotted the body hanging from the ceiling of a room at about 4.30 pm and informed the cops.
Kharvel police station officers reached the Gurudwara and recovered the body. The crime spot is being examined by a scientific team and a probe has been initiated into the case.
The police also revealed that they recovered a note written in Hindi from the room.
However, locals ransacked the Gurudwara, alleging that the youth was murder. “He was illiterate. He did not even know how to write Odia. How could he write in Hindi? they alleged, demanding justice.
Police force has been deployed to control the situation.
Investigation into the matter is on.
