Rourkela: Body of a 25-year-old youth was recovered from a field at Samara Basti near IDL police outpost under Tangarapali police limits in Sundargarh on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Sushil Oram. He belongs to Samara slum.
According to sources, Sushil left home on Sunday night but did not return.
Some locals spotted his body with injury marks in abdomen, head and neck, the following morning.
On being informed, police reached the spot and started investigation into the matter.
Though the exact reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, it is being suspected that he was possibly murdered by some miscreants.
