Bhubaneswar: A youth was reportedly found hanging in a house in GGP Colony area of Odisha capital on Sunday.
As per preliminary information, the deceased was identified as Sachitra Barik, a native of Balipatna area.
While the youth was suspected to have died by suicide, the exact reason will be known after a thorough investigation by the police.
Soon after he was found hanging from the ceiling with a rope in the house, locals informed the Mancheswar police station about the incident.
A team of police personnel reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident. Steps were taken to send the body for postmortem.
The mobile phone of the youth and the call records are also being examined by the police as part of the investigation.
