Youth Found Hanging From Temple Bell In Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: The body of a youth was found hanging from the bell of the Jaleswar Mahadev temple at Chhitalpur, under Rasol police station limits, in Dhenkanal district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Niranjan Sahu of Nuapatana.

It is reported that the temple priest spotted the body when he entered the premises in the morning. A team of officials from Rasol police station arrived soon after they were alerted by the priest.

 “We have sent the body for post-mortem. The exact reason of death can only be ascertained after receiving the report. Investigations have already been started on the basis of the statements of locals that the youth was seen roaming inside the temple since last 20 days,” a police officer informed.
