Puri: A youth from Beldanga in West Bengal was nabbed by Singhadwar Police while climbing atop Nata Mandap of Jagannath Temple in Puri on Monday.

Police identified him as Rakesh Hajare. “He has been brought to police station for interrogation,” a police official said.

Notably, a transgender, Balaram Rout, had allegedly jumped to death from Gumuta, a 40-ft-high structure, at the entrance of the 12th-century shrine on May 1 after offering prayers in the main temple and having mahaprasad at Ananda Bazaar.
