Cuttack: A day after being allegedly kidnapped from CDA area in Odisha’s Cuttack city, a youth was rescued by  Bhapur police from a closed room at a filling station near Nimichira village in Odisha’s Dhenkanal on Sunday.

The abducted youth has been identified as Doleswar Nayak, a native of Pallahara in Angul district. He was working in a finance company in Cuttack and staying in Sector-8 of CDA. His alleged kidnappers have been detained for questioning.

While returning home around 12.30 am on Saturday, Doleswar’s motorcycle hit an SUV near Bell View Chhak, leading to the scuffle.
