Malkangiri: A youth was stabbed to death at MPV-38 under Kalimela police limits in Malkangiri on Wednesday night over an alleged extramarital affair.
The deceased has been identified as Niranjan Sardar of MPV-4 in the district.
According to sources, Sameer Bairagi attacked Niranjan with a sharp weapon, when he was on his way to watch Bhejangigua Jatra. He died on the spot.
On being informed, Kalimela police reached the spot and arrested Sameer.
During interrogation, Sameer confessed to his crime and told police that he suspected Niranjan of having an affair with his wife.
