Cuttack: A young man was brutally killed by some unidentified miscreants in a village of the district on Saturday.
According to sources, the 28-year-old youth, Gobind Behera of Gholapur village under Banki police station was going to market on his bike when the miscreants threw country-made bombs at him. As Gobind fell down on the impact of the explosion, the miscreants hit him with stones. After Gobind died in the attack, the miscreans fled.
Panicked by the incident, the shops in the market downed the shutters. Police went to the spot on being informed and started enquiring about the unidentified miscreants.
From the preliminary investigation, police suspect it to be the fallout of an earlier enmity.
