Bhubaneswar: Police arrested a man for the murder of a youth in the city in the wee hours of Sunday.
The incident took place behind Swosti Grand Hotel near Master Canteen.
Police identified the victim as Sheikh Abdul, who hailed from Puruna Bazar in Bhadrak district. He was working as a helper in a truck.
The accused, Sumu Singh, is a native of Dharmashala in Jajpur district.
According to police, Sumu and Abdul had an altercation early on Sunday. Following this, Sumu smashed Abdul’s head with a stone, killing him on the spot.
Police said they will interrogate the accuse and then produce him in a court.
