Rourkela: A youth was killed by unidentified miscreants by a sharp-edged weapon here on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Pintu Srivastava and the attack took place near Saw Mill Square in Sector 21 of the steel city. The assailants are on the run.
Sources said the youth was attacked in broad daylight by two miscreants on the main road. The duo fled the spot while Srivastava was rushed to the local hospital, where he was declared dead.
Plant Site police have registered a murder case and investigating the matter. A manhunt has been launched to nab the assailants.
