Malkangiri: Body of a youth with grievous injuries on head was recovered near Khadamguda Square under Khairaput police limits in Malkangiri on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old, identified as Pabitra Khila, was allegedly stoned to death on Tuesday night over a love affair.
According sources, the locals spotted the body lying in a pool of blood and informed the police, which reached the spot and sent it for postmortem.
Though the exact cause behind the youth’s death is yet to be ascertained, his family members said that he was in a relationship with a girl of Khadamguda village and might have been murdered over the matter.
Police started investigating the matter.
