Youth’s Throat-Slit Body Found In Ganjam

Berhampur: A youth was found dead with his throat slit at Lanjiapalli village under Shergad police limits in Ganjam district on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Jitu Patra of the same village.
According to sources, Jitu was standing along the road near the village when two miscreants came on a motorcycle, slashed his throat with a sharp weapon and immediately fled the spot.
Hearing  Jitu’s screams, a few villagers rushed to the spot and saw him lying in a pool of blood.
They rushed him to a local hospital. However, the doctors declared him brought dead.
On being informed about the incident, police reached the spot and started investigation after registering a case.
Locals attributed the incident to a possible past enmity and demanded immediate arrest of the accused.
