Sundargarh: A 23-year-old youth allegedly stabbed his mother to death following a quarrel at Bahiyam village near Rajgangpur in Sundargarh district, police said on Sunday.
According to sources, Raju Gouda had demaded money from his mother, Laxmi Gouda (50), on Saturday night. When she refused, Raju attacked her with a knife and killed her on the spot. He then fled from the scene.
Police said they have sent the victim’s body for postmortem and launched a hunt for the accused.
