Jharsuguda: A youth was allegedly pushed to death by his friends from the rooftop of Durlaga Gram Panchayat office building in Jharsuguda on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Tapan Sahu (22).
According to sources, Tapan had a heated argument with his friends, Debraj Singh and Debendra Kahali in a drunken state over some issues.
The situation took an ugly turn and Debraj along with Debendra allegedly pushed Tapan from the rooftop, following which, he died on the spot.
On being informed, police reached the spot and took Tapan to a nearby. But doctors declared him brought dead.
The police have detained one accused while another is absconding.
Investigation into the matter is on.
