Kendrapara: A youth was critically injured in a firing incident at Badanayanapur Square in Tendakuda panchayat under Patakura police limits in Kendrapara on Thursday night.
The injured person has been identified as Prashnat Barik. He suffered bullet injuries in his left leg.
According to sources, three bike-borne unidentified miscreants attacked a garage at around 9.45 pm. Prashant, who was there at the garage to repair his motorcycle, was hit by a bullet. He was initially rushed to the a nearby hospital at Tendakuda and later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after his condition deteriorated.
On being informed, Patakura police reached the spot and started investigation. The reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained.
