Bhubaneswar: A youth was shot at by two scooter-borne miscreants inside his house at Shantinagar in Odisha’s Jharsuguda on Friday afternoon.
The injured has been identified as Rakesh Oram.
According to sources, the miscreants barged into his house while he was sitting and taking to his mother and opened fire at him. Luckily, a bullet grazed past his shoulder. Hearing the screams, people in the neighbourhood rushed to the spot and got him admitted to the district headquarters hospital.
The accused, however, managed to flee. While the incident is being attributed to possible past enmity, police have launched a manhunt to nab the culprits.
