Contractor Shot Dead In Broad Daylight In Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: A contractor was allegdely shot dead in broad daylight in ward-6 of Barbil municipality in Odisha’s Keonjhar district around 9 am on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Bhola Sinha, a resident of ward 6.

According to sources, the incident took place near the Mini Tower while he was returning home on his two-wheeler. Locals spotted him lying in a pool of blood and informed police, which immediately reached the spot and rushed him to Barbil community health centre. Doctors, however, declared him brought dead.

An empty cartridge was also seized from the spot.

While the police are yet to ascertain the motive behind the killing, it is being suspected to the fallout of business rivalry. All the major checkpoints and a manhunt has been launched to track down the accused who are on the run. The cops are also questioning a few locals to find out any witnesses in the case. CCTV cameras in the area are also being scanned.
