Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a youth was critically injured in a group clash after a Ludo game session turned violent in Bhubaneswar.
According to information, the incident took place near Chilli Pokhari unde
r the jurisdiction of Badagada police station in the city on Tuesday night.
The injured, identified as Shankar Dakua, was rushed to Capital Hospital for treatment. His condition was stated to be critical.
Sources said the incident took place when some youths were playing a Ludo game under a banyan tree near Chilli Pokhari. A dispute reportedly broke out between Dakua and another group of youths, which soon escalated into a heated altercation.
During the confrontation, one of the youths allegedly attacked Dakua with a sharp object, leaving him seriously injured.
Following the incident, local residents alerted the police. A team from Badagada police station reached the spot and initiated an investigation.
Police sources said two youths have been detained in connection with the case, while efforts are on to identify and apprehend others involved.
