Nuapada: A youth was critically injured after being stabbed with a dandiya stick by his friend near Gayatri temple in Nupada on Tuesday.
The victim has been identified as Rahul Jain.
Sources said the accused, Amit, stabbed Rahul after a heated argument at a dandiya programme. Amit fled the spot after the incident.
Rahul was rushed to hospital near Khariar Road by the locals in a critical condition.
Police have started an investigation into the matter.
