Youth Stripped, Thrashed Mercilessly Over Love Affair In Kendrapara

Kendrapara: A youth of Bhekta village under Talachua Marine police limits in Kendrapara district was allegedly stripped and thrashed mercilessly by a group of people in the presence of the sarpanch over a love affair on Monday.

The incident came to the light after a video of the entire incident went viral.

According to sources, the youth was an employee of Bulu Jena, a businessman and native of Sikaripahi village. He had developed a love relationship with Bulu’s daughter. They even eloped to Bhubaneswar for getting married.

When the villagers of Talachua came to know about the matter, they went to Bhubaneswar and caught hold of the youth and brought him back to the village. Later, they took the youth to the panchayat office, stripped him and beat him black and blue with a wooden plank. They also uploaded a video of his naked body on social media.

The youth was later admitted to Talachua primary health centre for treatment.
