Sambalpur: Rengali police here on Friday detained a youth after a video in which he was seen setting Rengali Tehsil office on fire went viral on social media.
The detainee has been identified as Rajeev Kishan.
Though no loss of life or injury was reported, valuables and important documents were reduced to ashes in the fire.
According to sources, the youth stormed into the office and set the office on fire before anyone could react.
On being informed, a firefighting team reached the office and doused the flames.
Though the youth confessed to having uploaded the video after setting the office on fire, the motive behind the act was not ascertained till filing of this report.
