Ganjam: Body of a youth was recovered from an abandoned well near Gochhamila at Sorada in Ganjam district on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Benudhar Mallick, a native of Balapanka village in the district.
According to sources, some locals spotted the body floating in the well and informed the police, which seized the body and sent for postmortem.
Meanwhile, Benudhar’s family has lodged a complaint in Sorada police station, alleging that he was murdered.
Investigation into the matter is underway.
