Sundargarh: The body of a youth was recovered from an open field in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Bhimsen Kamar of Ledhimang village in Dharuadihi tehsil in Sundargarh district, said sources.
His body was found in Babupada village under Dharuadihi police limits. Locals spotted the body first and reported it to police.
Kamar’s throat was slit which resulted in his death due to profuse bleeding, the sources added.
Preliminary investigation revealed Kamar was attacked with a sharp weapon.
Sundargarh SDPO Himanshu Bhusan Behera has ordered a probe into the case. Efforts are on to nab the accused and ascertain motive behind the murder, the police said.
