Youth’s Body Recovered From SCB Premises, Murder Suspected

Cuttack: Body of a youth was recovered from the premises of SCB Medical College and Hospital here on Saturday.

The identity of the deceased, however, has not yet been ascertained.

According to available information, some locals spotted the body lying in a pool of blood in an under-construction building near the tuberculosis ward on the premises of the healthcare institution.

On being informed, Mangalabag police along with scientific experts reached the spot and started investigation.

The body was later seized and sent for postmortem.

According to police sources, a liquor bottle and some clothes were seized from the spot.

Though the exact reason behind the person’s death is still unclear, police suspect it to be a pre-planned murder, the sources added.
