Youth’s Mutilated Body Found On Roadside In Balangir

Balangir: The mutilated body of a youth was found on roadside near
Bairasara in Balangir district on Wednesday.

After the incident came to the fore, a group of local residents
gathered near the body and blocked National Highway-57 demanding
adequate compensation for the family of the deceased and investigation
into the victim’s death.

“Though the exact reason behind the death has not yet been
ascertained, it is suspected that the youth has been murdered by some
miscreants over past enmity as some critical injury marks were found
on his body. However, the body has been sent for post-mortem and we
have begun investigation into the incident”, a senior police officer
said.
