Bhubaneswar: The Transport Department has slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on a car owner after a purported video clip of three individuals performing dangerous stunts while hanging out of the vehicle window on a highway in Bhubaneswar went viral on Friday.
According to sources, the incident occurred on Palasuni overbridge here on Thursday while the car was en route to Bhubaneswarfrom Cuttack. While no one was injured, the reckless driving with passengers hanging out of windows, created panic among commuters. One among them shot the ruckus and circulated it on social media.
The RTO-1 identified the vehicle and slapped a fine under Motor Vehicles Act. The challan has been sent to the car owner Satyabhama Sahu, sources added.
