Bhubaneswar: Eight districts have been selected for the live YouTube classes for Class I to VIII from June 21 to July 2. Releasing detailed guidelines, the State Mass Education Department on Thursday said in the first phase, eight districts have been selected to conduct the classes.
The classes will be conducted as per the common timetable and chapter to be taught as prepared by Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA). The classes will be streamed at the same time from one classroom set up for the purpose in one district for each class. For example, the teaching for Class I in Khurdha and for Class-II in Balangir will be done simultaneously. In a particular period of the daily timetable, one teacher will teach a subject for all the students of that class of the state.
The classes will be streamed from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 10 am for Class I to III and 9 am to 10.30 am for Class IV to VIII with a 60-minute period. The weekends (Saturday and Sunday) will off.
DEOs have been asked to prepare basic YouTube Live streaming studios by improvising classrooms and arranging minimum equipment.
The MIS unit of Samagra Siksha will take care of the technical side of the programme while the Pedagogy unit will take responsibility for the academic side.
