Mumbai: Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has again taken a subtle dig at ex-wife and choreographer Dhanashree Verma over the Rs 4 crore alimony rumours.
Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan took to Instagram handle recently to share warm moments from his Diwali and Bhai Dooj celebrations.
He captioned the post as, “A beautiful Bhai Dooj spent with family. Love, smiles, and memories to cherish forever.”
However, what went viral was Chahal’s sassy remark on Shikhar’s post, which appeared to be an apparent dig at his ex-wife.
“Aapke pose pe copyright maar raha hun bhaiya, 4 crores only (I am filing for copyright for your pose brother, at ₹4 crore only),” read the leg-spinner’s comment.
Reacting to Chahal’s comment, Dhawan posted on the comment’s section, “@yuzi_chahal23 Deal pakki (Deal locked) (handshake, laughing with tears, and wink emojis).”
Chahal’s cheeky comment comes just days after one of his Instagram posts, which appeared to be an apparent dig at Dhanashree, went viral.
Citing the Delhi High Court ruling, Chahal posted, “Financially independent wives cannot demand alimony from their husbands.”
He captioned his post as, “Maa kasam khao nahi paltoge iss decision she. (Swear on your mother, you won’t retract on this decision).”
Though he deleted the post later, it went viral within minutes, sparking an online debate over whether it was a dig at Dhanashree or not.
Dhanashree and Chahal got married in December 2020.
After their marriage hit rock bottom, the couple got separated in June 2022.
The couple was granted a divorce in March this year. During the divorce proceedings, reports claimed that Dhanashree asked for ₹4 crore as settlement.
However, neither Yuzvendra nor Dhanashree have confirmed the same.
