Zaheer Iqbal Melts Hearts With Respectful Gesture For Shatrughan Sinha; Fans Say ‘True Sanskaar’

Mumbai: Actor Sonakshi Sinha recently stepped out for a family dinner with her husband Zaheer Iqbal and parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha.

Zaheer’s father, Iqbal Ratansi, and other members of his family were also present at the get-together.

As the families exited the restaurant, paparazzi captured Zaheer offering his hand to help his father-in-law Shatrughan down the stairs, while the veteran affectionately held him close as they posed for photographs.

Later, Sonakshi and Zaheer escorted Shatrughan and Poonam to their car, where Zaheer touched his father-in-law’s feet as a mark of respect.

As the video went viral, fans praised the love, respect and warmth shared by the two families and called Zaheer respectful gesture towards his in-laws as ‘true sanskar’.

“Finally father saheb maan gaye 😂 good to see family together 👏 at the end kids shall be happy,” one person wrote.

Another commented, “Respect.”

Another wrote, “Two heroes of sona❤️❤️.”

Sonakshi appeared briefly annoyed with the paparazzi.

She initially smiled and acknowledged them, but seemed to lose patience as photographers continued to follow the family.

Addressing the photographers, Sonakshi said, “Bas, guys. Thank you. Good night!”
When they continued recording, the actress firmly said, “Guys ho gaya. Ho gaya. Bas. Thank you.”

Sonakshi and Zaheer’s interfaith marriage in 2024 drew significant public attention and sparked widespread speculation.

Reports claimed that Sonakshi’s father and her brothers were unhappy with the alliance.

However, the family later put all such reports to rest by attending the wedding and dismissing the rumours surrounding their relationship.

In an earlier interview with Retro Lehren, speaking about Luv and Kush not attending Sonakshi’s wedding, Shatrughan had said, “I won’t complain. They are only humans. They maybe still not be so mature. I do understand their pain and confusion. There is always cultural reaction. Maybe, if I was their age, I might have had a similar reaction to it. But, here is where your maturity, seniority, and experience comes in place. Hence, my reaction was not as extreme as my sons.”
