Rayagada: A truck driver in Rayagada district was fined Rs 1,10,800 on Sunday for allegedly violating traffic rules under the Motor Vehicles Act 2019.
According to Transport Department officials, the driver of the timber-laden truck from Andhra Pradesh did not have the road permit.
On Saturday, the State Transport Authority had asked Collectors, SPs and DCPs (Traffic) to carry out strict enforcement against dangerous life threatening road safety violations.
