Kolkata: Employees of food delivery app Zomato held a demonstration at Behala and burnt company t-shirts in protest against the Indo-China crisis in Ladakh.
Some of the employees claimed they also quit their jobs opposing Chinese investment in the company. China’s Alibaba has invested about Rs 1588 crore in Zomato and owns 14.7 per cent stake.
Zomato had fired 520 employees in May citing the coronavirus crisis. It is not known whether the same people were involved in the protests or not.
