Bhubaneswar: Several issues related to passenger services were discussed at the meeting of Zonal Rail Users’ Consultative Committee (ZRUCC) held at Rail Sadan in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
Chaired by Manoj Sharma, General Manager, East Coast Railway, the meeting witnessed participation of leaders and representatives of different oraganisations in discussion on the passenger amenities and services, developmental activities, introduction of new trains, extension of trains and provision of additional stoppage of trains.
Several members of ZRUCC including Cuttack MP Bhartruhari Mahatab, Kinjarappu MP Ram Mohan Naidu, Rajya Sabha member Sujit Kumar, representatives of different Chambers of Commerce & Industry, PSUs, passenger associations, consumer associations and other groups participated in the discussion.
Principal heads of the Departments of East Coast Railway including Additional General Manager Sharad Kumar Srivastava were present in the meeting. Ashoka Kumar Mishra, secretary, ZRUCC and Deputy General Manager, ECoR coordinated the meeting.
