The price of this new COVID-19 vaccine, which got emergency use approval a day earlier, will however be announced next week, Zydus Group MD Dr Sharvil Patel said on Saturday.
“Next week we will have clarity on the price of the ZyCOV-D vaccine. The supply of vaccines will start in mid-September. We can scale up production of the vaccine to 1 crore a month from October at the new production plant,” ANI quoted Dr Patel as saying.
Stating that the efficacy of the vaccine against Delta variant of coronavirus is 66 per cent, Patel said the three-dose ZyCOV-D will be given on day zero, day 28 and day 56.
