Are you wondering how young people are posting realistic images of how they will look when they grow old? It is not an elaborate Photoshop work, but an app called FaceApp.
The app, made by a Russian company Wirless Lab, was launched in 2017 and is available on both Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
The app’s most popular feature is the ‘old’ transformation. It uses AI to transform your face adding wrinkles, grey hair and the likes.
How To Use FaceApp:
- Install the app (obviously)
- Take a selfie or choose a photograph from your existing photos
- Press on the ‘old’ filter and wait for the magic to happen
The app does a lot more than just change your age. You can change your gender as well. If you want to look younger, you can try the look ‘young’ filter which adds a bit of baby fat to your face and a smile. There are filters to add a smile to your face, or a beard or glasses.
You can also make a collage of your before and after and share directly on social media accounts such as Instagram or Facebook.
The app’s free version has limited features. The paid pro version removes all limitations and the watermarks as well.
