Nuapada: In a tragic incident, a labourer was killed and 24 others were injured after a mini-truck, they were travelling in, overturned near Junani village under Khariar police limits in Nuapada on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Abhikant Nayak.

According to sources, the accident took place when 30 labourers of Uparapita village were travelling to Kantabanji railway station in the mini-truck. They had to catch a train for Andhra Pradesh. At around 4 am, the driver lost control and the vehicle turned turtle on NH-353.
Out of the 24 injured persons, the condition of five are stated to be critical. They were sent to the Nuapada District Headquarters Hospital.
